Goals for 2010
As the people of God who are Covenant United Methodist Church, we pledge to bring focus, energy and faithful intent to make our goals for 2010 come to reality. During 2010, we will:
- Develop and implement instruments across the church to assess the Spiritual gifts of our congregation, encourage the pursuit of God's call on our members lives, and connect members with specific outlets of service that match their gifts, thereby nurturing new leaders in our congregation for the years to come.
- Bring renewed attention to our congregational life by maximizing every opportunity to worship, pray, play, fellowship and serve together. We will rally around major common projects through the year to help foster congregational cohesiveness as we serve beyond ourselves in the community.
- Maximize communication across the whole of the church and the community by coordinating and synchronizing our message across each media platform we employ, aggressively pursue "new media" as tools to communicate and reach out, and encourage the relational nature of communication that requires members to seek out information and respond.
- Educate, encourage and inspire our congregation to the best nature of the connectional church. This includes our global and local outlets for mission and ministry, as well as our full participation in the church apportionments which makes us full partners in ministry with our brother and sister United Methodists making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
