Be a Part of Lent at Covenant

Lent is a holy season of forty days (not counting Sundays) beginning on Ash Wednesday and concluding the Saturday before Easter. It is a time for personal reflection on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and its meaning in this life and the life to come. Lent is a time to sacrifice, or take on something meaningful, that reminds us of the actions of Jesus. He came to give himself for us, but also take on our sins. Thus our perfection is achieved only by his acts of grace.

At Covenant, our theme for Lent and Easter 2020 is "Dark Nights...Glorious Days". We will reflect on the unavoidable moments in life that create seasons of darkness - sin, sickness, grief, disappointment, injustice, and betrayal. We will claim the signs of grace God offers that lead us to glorious days - our baptism, Holy Communion, the Cross, and the empty tomb.

We invite you to participate in all of the special services, studies, and events that will be taking place in the weeks ahead:
